Aesthetic Addiction

From my Pinterest account!

I. Am. Tumblr. Obsessed. Ok apparently it’s not cool to call it Tumblr anymore and it’s called “aesthetic” so I am an aesthetic addict.

What is this “aesthetic”?

I guess it started from Tumblr hence it being called that before that became uncool. Basically, it is either collecting pictures on Pinterest or Tumblr or taking pictures for Instagram or other social media, that all have a similar theme. Then there are a few common “themes” that people tend to follow for their accounts. In the picture above are some of the aesthetics that are popular, and that I like, such as space grunge or clean white pictures.

My accounts

I try way too hard to keep an aesthetic theme for both of my Instagram accounts and on Pinterest. It’s actually one of my favourite things to do and think about, once I’m typing this out seems like a bit of a sad hobby, but I enjoy it! And if I hang out with people chances are I will try to get them to take aesthetic pictures with me.

Anyone else out there who’s an aesthetic addict?

P.S. It’s Peri

LOL my friend told me that it wasn’t cool, I think Tumblr might just be a style of aesthetic

Ohh gotcha so it’s like Tumblr users seem to all like one particular aesthetic. That makes sense 🙂 I made a tumblr account years ago but I never ever use it so I’m not up on all the lingo

Yeah the Tumblr aesthetic tends to be more sunny but not too bright, a little more of a mix of other ones. There’s so many different terms for things it’s hard to keep up 😂

Ya I went back to my Tumblr the other day trying to research on expanding my reach to my target audiences, and it was a straight up ghost town!

True! The most followers I’ve ever gotten on Tumblr was maybe 15, it’s pretty quiet.

Hello, I went to follow your instagram and realised it was private! Is it a blog instagram? Should I request to follow it or your main?

    1. psitsperi Reply

You can request that one! It’s just private to keep out anyone that I might be suspicious are stalkers 😂😂

Wow, I just found your blog and this post. I have the same aesthetic addiction as you. I spend hours trying to fit Instagram posts to a certain theme. Great post x
